Ok ... I admit it. I was never really a Boyzone fan (any boyband for that matter) in any capacity, unless you count a-ha in their heyday!! But Stephen was, I believe, one of the first to acknowledge his sexuality (albeit reluctantly) in what is still a stubbornly homophobic world, that of pop music, believe it or not!! And we need to salute him for that. And I believe he was a genuinely nice guy, so why? Why do bad things keep happening to good people, while unsavoury types are heralded as media heroes.
